Connie: Yes, I guess…

Luke: Yes, absolutely, it has a great gothic atmosphere and an all time iconic performance from Lugosi.

Is it a film you must see before you die?

Connie: Yes, because it’s a classic but maybe not as an overall movie.

Luke: Yes, definitely, Karloff is brilliant as the monster, great gothic horror.

Is it a film you must see before you die?

Luke: No, I’m glad I’ve seen it, it’s really good, but I don’t think it’s very special, even if it is one of the early, defining gangster movies of the 1930s.

Luke: Yes, there’s something to it, and an interesting early use of sound through the musical format, I didn’t love it but it’s certainly worth seeing.
